PYSL registration

Registration for Pepperell in-town soccer is now open. This program is available for 4 to 10-year olds (must be four on or before Aug. 1, 2006; cannot be older than ten on Aug. 1, 2006). The cost is $45 per player. Go to pysl.org to register on-line with a credit card, or registration forms are available at the Lawrence Library, or can be downloaded from the website under “handouts” for payment with a check. The deadline for this season is March 1, 2007. After March 1, the cost is $55 per player, and will only be accepted if there are slots available. Ayer Shirley Youth Football and Cheer open house

Ayer Shirley Youth Football and Cheer is holding an open house on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Shirley Middle School cafeteria from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Come see what it is like to be part of the Broncos team. Registration forms will be available for those interested in signing up for the 2007 season. The registration fee for 2007 is $150 per child, $200 family maximum cost. PYSL has some openings

Pepperell Youth Soccer League has limited amount of openings for some of the U10-U14 travel teams for the spring 2007 season. If your child is interested in playing travel soccer, please contact PYSL registrar Linda Bisbo at (978) 433-5101.

Football/cheerleader coaches needed

Ayer-Shirley Youth Football and Cheer is looking for coaches for the 2007 season. G-D hockey food drive

The Groton-Dunstable varsity hockey team will be collecting non-perishable items for Loaves and Fishes at all home games this season. All home games are to be held at Groton School. Ayer Youth Baseball/Softball registration

Ayer Youth Baseball & Softball is now accepting registrations for those interested in playing baseball/softball for the upcoming 2007 season. Baseball players of all abilities between the ages of 4 and 12 years old (as of 4/30/07) and softball players grades three through eight are encouraged to play. All players must register online at www.ayerbaseball.com. Those who played last year will receive information regarding the upcoming season in the mail.

Applications must be received by Feb. 1 to ensure a roster spot. Coaches and volunteers are also needed at all levels. Softball meeting/clinics

The annual meeting of the North Central MA. Amateur Softball Association will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Montachusett Regional High School, Fitchburg, MA. All returning umpires are urged to attend this meeting. Also, the North Central MA. Amateur Softball Association will be holding umpire clinics for anyone interested in umpiring local league and tournament softball. The clinics will be held on Thursdays Feb. 6, 13 & 27 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Montachusett Regional High School. The cost will be $50 for adults and $30 for youths.
