PEPPERELL — The importance of your census return will be beneficial to you and your town.
The local census is primarily used to maintain voting and jury lists, but it also aids in school enrollment projections, public safety and senior citizens needs. The local census also establishes proof of residence, which is often needed for certain privileges such as transfer station stickers and cemetery rights, certain veterans’ benefits, and reduced rates at state colleges and universities.
Answering your local census will save you and your local officials time and money. Pepperell is counting on your immediate response.
The annual town census has been sent and I ask for your cooperation by returning them within 10 days.
Please list all members in the household and information requested. If someone has moved from the household, please give the new address where person is currently living. To avoid having to contact you by phone, please return your census as soon as possible.
Be sure to list the number of dogs you own.
Reminder: License your dog by March 31 and to avoid a late fee of $25 per dog, plus license fee, register by May 31. (Grace period.)
A dog license renewal form will be included in your census envelope. Your license will be mailed when we receive your form and check. Forms can be dropped off in the census box in front of the town hall, police station and Donelan’s supermarket.
A survey from the council on aging is also included with your census form and would appreciate it if you would include it with your census return.
If you did not receive a form, call the office as soon as possible.
Thank you for your cooperation in advance.
