GROTON — Portugal and the Age of Discovery will be the subjects of a slide-show presented made by Jean Temple on Jan. 24, at 1 p.m., at the Senior Center.
The presentation is based on the trip the Merry Trippers made to Portugal in October 2006. Portugal’s close relationship to the sea defines its national identity, and its influence can be seen in everything from its architecture to cuisine.
The slide show is open to all. Reservations aren’t required.
Lunch is served at noon at the Senior Center. If you would like to have lunch, reservations are required and can be made by calling (978) 448-1170.
