GROTON — The Groton-Dunstable Alliance for Youth’s (GDAY) Half-Day Network continues its work to keep children healthy and safe on early-release days.

The network recently contacted a number of local businesses requesting that they offer discounts to children and families on half days. The following businesses are participating in the Half-Day Network Coupon program:

* Leda Lanes, Nashua: $3 per string of bowling and free shoe rental with coupon.

* Discovery Museum, Acton: $1 off admission with coupon.

* Billiards Café, Ayer: 50 percent off pool — the minimum age on half days is 15.

* Nashoba Paddler, West Groton: 10 percent off per boat/per hour — minimum three-hour rental waived. Reservations and a liability release are required.

* Hands On Art Museum, Shirley: $2 off admission with coupon.

* Harvard Lanes, Harvard: Bowl two games at regular price, get a third game free per person.

Coupons will be sent home in all Groton-Dunstable Regional School District newsletters. Families can make copies of the coupon sheet as needed. Coupons are valid only on Jan. 23, March 14, April 5 and 26, and May 8.
