AYER — On the last day of school at Page Hilltop School, Maura Feller held the flower pot while daughter Marissa drew the winners of the Ayer Education Foundation’s GROWS raffle.

The GROWS program — Giving Recognition to Our Wonderful Staff — is supported by parents who buy GROWS cards ($5 donation) for teachers, to acknowledge their valued service to the school. Inside each GROWS card is a raffle ticket which teachers drop into the flowerpot for a biannual drawing. The winners of the year-end raffle each received $50 gift cards. They were Ellen McCann, first-grade teacher; Holly Cable, second-grade teacher; and Mark Sinapoli, eighth-grade math teacher.

Feller, who is president of the Foundation, personally distributed the gift cards to the winners before they left to start their summer vacations.
