Fourth of July: Ayer: Main Street parade 1 p.m., music and magic at Pirone Park. Fireworks at dusk. Rain date for fireworks is July 8.

Fourth of July: Pepperell: Parade at 12:30 p.m. from Town Hall; chicken barbecue, music, crafts, raffles and more on the town field. Fireworks at dusk.

Singles dance: 8 p.m., American Legion Hall, Great Road, Bedford. Ages 35 and up. $8

Strawberry Festival: The Townsend Woman’s Club has rescheduled its 34th annual Strawberry Festival to be held July 1 on the Townsend Center Common (junction of Routes 119 and 13) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 50 crafters will take part. Attractions include strawberry shortcakes, attic treasures, food table and raffles. “Our Town” afghans will also be available.

Sunday, July 2

Scrapbooking: noon to 5 p.m. downstairs at Pepperell VFW. Cost is $7 per person at the door.

Singles dance: 6:30 p.m., fifties music, American Legion Hall, Bedford. $8.

CLOSED: All senior center activities are cancelled for the Fourth of July.

Thursday, July 6
