PEPPERELL – June is a busy month at the Senior Center and there are a couple of events this month that require the purchase of a ticket.
On Friday, June 23, from 5 to 8 p.m., the Center will be holding a Hawaiian Luau Dinner Dance. Dress is casual but what a great time to wear that long, flowing, flowery dress hanging in the back of the closet, or perhaps you own a grass skirt? The men can pull out those awful shirts they purchased on vacation a few years ago.
After a dinner of Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chet Harnden will provide music for dancing. Tickets are $8 each and may be obtained at the reception desk in the Center. The deadline for purchasing a ticket is June 12.
The next event that will require a ticket is the annual MOC Barbecue. Once a year, the Montachusett Opportunity Council, the agency sponsoring the Elder Nutrition Program, holds this event. The date is Wednesday, June 28, and the tickets are $4.25.
Tickets are necessary and must be purchased by Friday, June 16. The meal will consist of barbecue chicken, salad, baked beans and strawberry shortcake. Lunch will be served at noon.
Tickets are available at the reception desk in the Center.
