The Patriots broke a 3-3 halftime tie with third period goals by John Armstrong and Dan Powers, only to see the Bernardians climb back to within a goal, before Mike Mercurio’s second goal of the game with one second to play clinched it. Ben Robertson, and Shaun Doherty also scored for North Middlesex, which improved to 10-3 with the win. Tom Woollacott backboned the win with nine saves in goal.
Gaitano Giambrocco led St. Bernard’s with three goals, while goaltender Devin Schneiderbauer stopped 20 North Middlesex shots.
North Middlesex improved to 10-3 with the win while St. Bernard’s is 9-5.
BASEBALL
Nashoba 8
Groton-Dunstable 5
The Chieftains scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth to erase a 5-3 deficit en route to a MidWach B win over the Crusaders. Andy Staszewski tossed a route-going seven-hitter to earn the win and chipped in with a single, double and three RBI offensively. Will Hayden took the loss for the Crusaders while Dan White and Doug Starbird each had two hits for Groton-Dunstable, which dropped to 9-7.

The Stags overcame a 5-0 deficit with six runs in the fifth to post a MidWach D victory. Tom Brown earned the win with a complete game effort, allowing three earned runs and seven hits. Mike O’Connell paced the Tahanto offense with three hits and an RBI.
Kenny Rollins led Ayer with a single and double. The Panthers are now 8-5 overall, including 4-3 in the league.
Leominster 15
North Middlesex 1
The Blue Devils put away a MidWach A win early, building a 12-0 lead after three innings. Mike LaPointe earned the win with five innings of solid work while Andrew Clark and Mike Mastertasqua finished up.
Andrew Hudson led the Leominster offense with a single, two doubles and two RBI while Sam Garcia and T.J. Magnell each added two hits and two RBI.

The Tigers took the lead for good with a seven run fourth inning, which overcame a 2-1 deficit. Erin Bradley earned the win with a complete-game four-hitter and contributed a single, double, triple and two RBI offensively.
Derrin Jarvis had a double, run scored and an RBI for the Lady Trojans.
