AYER — Laura M. (Cormier) Gaudet, 80, died Monday, May 22, 2006, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston following a brief illness. She was the wife of Napoleon P. Gaudet, who died in February 1994.
Mrs. Gaudet is survived by three sons, Thomas P. Gaudet, Daniel G. Gaudet and Michael Gaudet, all of Ayer; three daughters, Bernadette M. Burns and Annette T. Wilson, both of Ayer and Cecile A. Christie of Lunenburg; a brother, Joseph Cormier of New Brunswick, Canada; and two sisters, Annie Gaudet of Ayer and Helen Cassie of New Brunswick. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gaudet was born in New Brunswick, Canada, on May 15, 1926, a daughter of James and Annie (Fougere) Cormier and resided in Waltham before moving to Ayer over 35 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Ayer.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, May 26, at St. Mary’s Church, Ayer, followed by burial in the parish cemetery. Arrangements were handled for the family by the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, Ayer.
