PEPPERELL — The North Middlesex Regional School District Special Education Parent Advisory Council invites you to join its occupational therapists and speech pathologists at its next meeting on May 18, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Hawthorne Brook Middle School in Townsend.
Come learn about how the human body uses information from the world around us and about common problems that occur when sensory processing goes awry.
How many senses are there? How does sensory processing help or hinder your child at school and at home? What are some sensory strategies that promote better body organization as a basis for learning?
Also, learn about the role of the speech pathologist in our schools, common speech and language disorders as well as some parental tips to use at home.
This is the perfect opportunity for those with autistic children in the school system. Come ask questions or just listen and learn.
