How lucky we are that Paul Funch, one of our most committed, energetic citizens, has stepped up to run for School Committee! We need Paul’s deeply insightful, pragmatic voice as our seasoned advocate for educational excellence during this challenging fiscal time.
Paul Funch’s 20-year knowledge of our school system is unique in that it comes from many sides of the spectrum. Parenting both a handicapped and a high honors child, he experiences inner realms of regular and special needs education in a way most of us never will. He and his wife tirelessly volunteer many hours to educational and conservation causes while Paul keenly manages complex budgeting issues from varied experiences in industry, church and our school district.
As a parent and teen educator, I’ve observed Paul’s dedication and follow-through to every commitment he makes. He never hesitates to step up to a challenge by offering wise, dedicated insight and assistance; and, he stays the course. A leader who can respond instantly with balanced integrity vs. quickly-formed opinion, Paul Funch is both the visionary and detail man who can clearly relate facts to all of us.
I see Paul as a multifaceted, dedicated human being: creative, precise, loyal and brilliant. His strong personal and professional qualities come to our district at a most needed time. We need Paul Funch’s voice on our School Committee and we need it now — please vote May 16.
