Dear residents:Nashoba Publishing
I would like to discuss an issue that has bothered me for two years now. Is it necessary that the residents of Shirley walk and/or exercise their dogs on athletic fields and recess areas? I cannot believe that anyone would want their child to fall or slip into something a dog left on a playing area. I am sure you will say that people do not do that, that they pick up after their dogs, but this is not true. I have recently begun videotaping dogs doing their “business” on our athletic fields at both the Shirley Middle School as well as Lura A. White. Please, let’s have some respect for our children. There is plenty of land to walk our dogs that is not in our children’s play areas.
