Local Florists attend Northeast Floral Expo in Connecticut

PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

PEPPERELL — Dixie and John Pickard of the Bronze Bell, Inc., on South Road in Pepperell attended the Northeast Floral Expo in Cromwell, Connecticut.

Both John and Dixie were participants in hands-on workshops that were very informative and showed new trends for the industry.

They also attended several design shows, titled “Everything Old is New Again,” which showed new and old ideas combined. The designers included Carol Caggiano and Jeff Corbin of the U.S. and Joke Matt from Holland.

The expo included a trade fair that held mini-classes which John and Dixie attended.

The Floral Expo was a weekend of intense learning and positive reinforcement. Ideas were exchanged and problems discussed. Over 700 florists attended. They were able to network with other florists from all over the northeast.

The Bronze Bell came away refreshed and renewed in the business, ready to share new ideas with their staff and customers.
