HARVARD — A free baby-toddler sign language class will be held at Harvard Public Library on Thursday, April 27, from 7 to 9 p.m.

The instructor, Kendra McDowell, has a B.S. in deaf studies and has been teaching this class for years. Included in the hands-on workshop is a review of language development, a short video of a toddler using American sign language, and time for practicing commonly used signs for this age group. Signing reduces your child’s frustration and increases your communication with him or her.

Register for this course through First Connections at (978) 287-0221.
