GROTON — The Marching Band and Chowder Society will be playing in the Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 29.

We are pleased to announce that Director Emeritus Peter Guernsey will be returning with his vintage trombone to the brass section.

We welcome returning and new members in all instrumental parts. Additional chowder will be provided to piccolo and sousaphone players. Players from neighboring towns are also welcome.

Rehearsals will be on May 9, 16 and 23, from 7:30 to 9 p.m., in Legion Hall on Legion Common under our new director, Leslie Lathrop. Sheet music will be provided as well.

If you haven’t played since school and want to see if you’ve still got it, come to rehearsals and find out. If you’ve misplaced your instrument, we’ll try to find one for you.

For information call Joan Reynolds at (978) 448-2095.

Although we hope to see you at rehearsals, if you can’t attend, you may play with us anyway. Contact Joan to let us know that you’ll be marching with us.
