The Lady Pats rolled past the Blue Devils, paced by a trio of multiple event winners. KIm Allen picked up first-place finishes in the high jump and triple jump, while Dana Margarita won the javelin and the 400 meters, and Corey Conner captured the mile and the 800 meters.

The Patriots registered a MidWach A victory over the Blue Devils, keyed by Alan Cavanaugh, who won the triple jump and the 200 meters, and Brandon Kent, who earned first-place finishes in the shot put and discus.

The Patriots dropped a heartbreaker when Jeff Ryan’s goal with five seconds left lifted the Colonials to the win. Ryan Zech, who scored three goals for North Middlesex, had tied the game at 5-5 with just 20 seconds left, setting the stage for Ryan’s game-winner. Andy Reeves and Mike Mercurio each scored a goal for North Middlesex, while Paul Giacobbe turned in a strong defensive effort.

Joe Vespa exploded for six goals to lead the Rams past the Crusaders. Jimmy Young added three goals for Northbridge, who improved to 2-1 with the win. Mark Enwright led Groton-Dunstable with three goals while Andrew Keaveny added two.

St. Bernard’s 6

Steve Carroll spoiled St. Bernard’s strategy by doubling home Chris Chenelle in the bottom of the seventh after an intentional walk to lift the Crusaders to their second consecutive win. Greg Cocchiolla picked up the victory in relief for the Crusaders, while Mike Fei turned in an outstanding effort in relief. Jim Moniz led Groton-Dunstable with three hits, including a double and home run, while Carroll added two doubles and two-runs-batted in.

Ayer 7

The Blue Devils scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to knock off the Panthers. Jake Daillette picked up the victory in relief for Murdock while John Shivo went the route for the Panthers and took the loss. Josh Peterson paced the Murdock offense with a single, double, grand slam home run and five RBI. Jon Bollinger and Jason Jones each had two hits for Ayer.

Bromfield 6

Narragansett improved to 2-0 on the season by holding off the Trojans in Templeton. Mike Doyle led the Warriors with two hits and two runs-batted-in. Ryan Chadwick paced the Trojans with three hits and an RBI while Phil Lewis added two hits and two RBI. Frank Yavorosky picked up the win, while Toby Frost took the loss.

The Lady Pats improved to 2-0 as Nicole Monroe tossed a four-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts. The game was scoreless until the top of the sixth when Monroe tripled and was driven in by Leah Crisostamo. Monroe ensured the victory by pitching out of jams in both the fifth and sixth innings.

Ashlyn White tossed a five-hit shutout with eight strikeouts to lead the Blue Devils past the Lady Panthers. Erin Megan pitched well in defeat, allowing only four hits while striking out ten. Paige Girard drew three walks and scored twice for Murdock. Kate Salka had three hits for the Lady Panthers while Lauren Pires added two hits.

Kaitlin Andrews tossed a two-hit shutout to lead the Hawks past the Lady Crusaders. Cristy Jenkins led Hudson with two hits and two runs-batted-in, while Becca Mongeau also added two hits.

Sarah Favreau allowed just one hit over five innings to earn the win for the Warriors, while Jaci Moulton and Sarah Hamel each had four hits to lead the offense.
