HARVARD — Though official confirmation is lacking, it appears that the General Store in the center of Harvard will be closing shortly.

The Harvard Camera Store on the second floor of the building has already closed its doors, and signs listing the general store hours claim that a major liquidation sale will begin on June 1.

Store owner Joyce Garrick was reportedly unavailable for comment due to medical reasons, and store manager Anne Garrick declined to comment.

A source close to the situation, who preferred to remain unidentified, said the store has been on the market since January and would likely close some time in June. — Nathan Lamb
