Breast Cancer Support Group to meet at Senior Center

PEPPERELL — You have a numbers of choices to help occupy your time at the Senior Center. Many of those choices help your physical and mental health.

On Wednesday, April 19, at 10 a.m., a Breast Cancer Support Group will be introduced. If enough interest is shown, this group will meet on a monthly basis at the center.

All ages are welcome to come and share their experiences during a lively discussion.

On April 26, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., you may sign up for an individual appointment with a nurse to help you understand the medications you are taking.

Have your questions ready and learn how your medications interact. Sign up for this event at the center. When you come please bring your medications, vitamins herbal remedies, and your doctor’s name and number.

On April 28 a representative from the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind will be at the Senior Center to discuss four major eye conditions, new research, and available services and aids.

The speaker will be introduced following the 9 a.m. monthly breakfast. A $2 donation is requested for this meal.

On Monday mornings, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., we have a volunteer available to work one-on-one with you on the computer. If some functions on your computer have you stumped, this is the place to come for answers. Call ahead to sign-up so we can reserve your time.

On Tuesdays, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., retired Attorney Edward P. McDuffee has graciously offered his services, free of charge, to give advice on legal matters to seniors. If you need to be pointed in the right direction legally, why not meet with McDuffee?

Also, there is a movie matinee every Friday, at 12:30 p.m., so spend some time at the center enjoying a movie and popcorn.
