GROTON — The Zoning Board of Appeals voted unanimously to approve a request by Shaun and Sharon Sullivan for a special permit to demolish a house at 323 Main St. and build a new home farther back from the road.
At last week’s meeting, the Sullivans said that in taking down the existing house on the two-acre-plus property, they planned to preserve a semi-attached garage.
The board voted to approve a plan by 77 Boathouse Rd. resident Michael Provost to enclose a portion of a deck encircling an existing home on the property providing that the only entrance remain from the unenclosed part of the deck outside the house. — Pierre Comtois
