North Central Charter Essential School (NCCES) is now accepting applications for the 2006-2007 school year. An Information session will be held Tuesday, April 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Families interested in the school should plan on attending the session.

At the information session, the school’s directors, teachers, parents and students will talk about the school; provide a tour of the facility; and answer questions. Currently 360 students from 25 towns across central Massachusetts attend the combination middle and high school located at One Oak Hill Road in Fitchburg.

As a charter school, North Central is free and part of a network of more than 1,000 schools across the country that follow a common set of guidelines.

As an Essential School, NCCES features small classes. NCCES is a school for families who want a small school where parents are partners in the education of their children.

For an application, you can visit the school, call (978) 345-2701, or go to www.ncces.org.

Applications must be received at the school no later than 3 p.m. on Friday, April 28, to be included in the drawing for the 2006-2007 school year.
