Police arrest individuals for warrant, domestic dispute

PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

HARVARD — Police officers recently made two arrests, one after a traffic stop and the other as a result of a domestic dispute.

On Feb. 2, Officer James Babu arrested a 17-year-old during a traffic stop on Gebo Lane. Having observed a blue Chevy pickup with a rejected safety inspection sticker on the windshield, the officer pulled the vehicle over. A computer check of the vehicle’s registration showed that an outstanding default warrant had been issued against the owner, in this case the operator as well, for failure to appear in Uxbridge District Court.

The driver, Daniel E. Danforth, of Uxbridge, was arrested on the warrant charge.

Also, a 911 emergency hangup call on Feb. 5, led police to a home on Stow Road where a father and son were fighting with each other. The father, Robert LaPierre, 52, of 258 Stow Rd., was arrested on domestic abuse charges and released on bail two hours later. His son, Jeffrey, also faces domestic abuse charges as a result of the incident. — M.E. Jones
