Better Breathers Club lecture

CONCORD — The Better Breathers Club at Emerson Hospital will hold its monthly meeting in the North Assembly Room at Emerson Hospital, from noon to 1 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 16. Refreshments will be served, followed by speaker Lorraine Love, RD, LD, registered dietitian. Her topic is “Eat Well — Breathe Better.” She will discuss how what you eat affects how you breathe and how well you feel. She will help you select foods you like and develop a plan to maintain good pulmonary health. A question and answer period will follow. The free lecture is open to the public.

The purpose of the Better Breathers Club is to provide support and information to people with chronic lung disease and their families and friends. Back clinic

GROTON — Forward Motion Holistic Center, 483A Main St., Groton, will hold a back clinic on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon. Gentle yoga postures and breathing exercises will be taught to help soothe chronic back, neck and shoulder pain. The cost of the course is $55. La Leche League meeting

SHIRLEY — New and expecting mothers wishing to find out more about breastfeeding are invited to attend a meeting of La Leche League of Nashoba Valley on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m., at the Hazen Memorial Library in Shirley. Well Adult Clinics

SHIRLEY — Nashoba Nursing Service & Hospice, in conjunction with the Shirley Board of Health, will hold a free Well Adult Clinic for the general public on Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at Shaker Meadows, in the Community Room, Harvard Road, Shirley. Yoga for stress reduction

GROTON — Techniques learned at the Mind Body Medical Institute in Boston will be taught at this one-day course at Forward Motion Holistic Center, 483A Main St., Groton.
