1 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened.
1 cup melted butter.
1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
2 pounds powdered sugar.
6 ounces of unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled.
2 cups flour.
1 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.
1 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
2 teaspoons of milk.
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, 3/4 cups of the butter and the vanilla. Take turns beating in the sugar and 1/4 cup of milk. Stir in four ounces of the melted chocolate, keeping 3 1/2 cups of the mixture aside for frosting and chill it.
Site in two ounces of melted chocolate into the remaining mixture. Beat in 1/4 cups of butter and the eggs.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, soda and salt, then mix into the chocolate mixture with 1 1/4 cups of milk. Put this into a floured round cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool the cake on a wire rack and frost when the cake is cooled to the touch.
