SHIRLEY — The Board of Selectmen (BOS) announced that the Nashoba Valley Medical Center Heart Safe Program has donated an automated external defibrillator (AED) to the town.
“Nashoba Valley Medical Center has initiated a campaign to assist surrounding towns in making their public buildings safe,” stated a letter dated Jan. 11 from Nashoba Valley Medical Center CEO Andrei Soran.
The defibrillator will come with an infant pad, wall mount and accessories. The selectmen will schedule an informational meeting with a cardiologist to explain the importance of having a defibrillator. — Jeanette Wade
