GROTON — The town clerk’s office will sponsor an educational seminar on the Open Meeting Law at the Groton Town Hall on Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. in the second floor meeting room.

The seminar will be presented to public officials and citizens. Two assistant district attorneys from the Office of Middlesex District Attorney Martha Coakley will give a Power Point presentation on the Open Meeting Law and its requirements.

The District Attorney’s Open Meeting Law Guidelines will be provided to all participants, as well as additional handouts relative to executive session exceptions and e-mail communications. All are welcome to attend.

The clerk is respectfully requesting that at least one representative from each board, committee and commission attend this important seminar.
