Yoga and meditation class: Emerson Hospital is offering a seven-week yoga and meditation class that will teach participants how to improve posture and flexibility, breathe more effectively and strengthen the entire body. The class is taught by Kripalu-certified yoga instructor Patricia Buttner. Participants should wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring an exercise mat. The cost is $91. Health resolutions seminar: Emerson Hospital will hold a seminar in which Dr. Goodman will offer advice about maintaining good health year-round. Discuss how to make new behaviors habitual and identify the merits of rewarding yourself periodically for your progress. The free lecture will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. in North Assembly Room A. Registration is not required. Light refreshments will be provided.

Bereavement support group: The Hospice of Nashoba Nursing Servie will host eight bereavement support group sessions on alternate Tuesday mornings beginning Jan. 17 and running until April 25.
