As the chairperson of the Ayer Board of Selectman, I would also like to extend my whole hearted support for release of House 4203 with a favorable vote from your committee.

As our economic development director has shared with you, this effort was supported by town meeting vote and the board. This project stays within the boundaries of the character of the neighborhood, while being close enough to public transportation to qualify under the states “smart growth” policy.

We applaud not only the neighborhood citizens who assisted in this proposal, but our housing authority for their continued efforts on behalf of the seniors in Ayer.

Your favorable vote moving this issue forward would be greatly appreciated, and we look forward to inviting you to the ribbon cutting ceremony when this project opens.

Letter refers to petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4203) of Robert S. Hargraves and Pamela P. Resor (by vote of the town) that the town of Ayer be authorized to convey a certain parcel of historical preservation land.

FAYE L. MORRISON

Chairperson, Ayer Board of Selectman
