Upcoming January activities at Senior Center

GROTON The Groton Senior Center has lots planned for 2006. Check out what is happening in January:
– Jan. 4 “Shall We Dance?” is a comedy about following your own lead. Golden Globe winner Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez and Susan Sarandon step out in this romantic comedy.

The show will begin at 12:45 p.m… and popcorn and soda will be served.

– The Beginner and Intermediate Computer Class with Maureen Bolger begins at 12:45 p.m. The cost is $25 for four weeks. Sign-up is required for this hands-on, personalized class.

– Jan. 11 Jean Temple will show slides from the recent Imperial Cities trip to Prague, the Czech Republic, Krakow, Poland and Budapest, Hungary, some of the most fascinating and beautiful cities of central Europe and the great capitals of the famous Hapsberg Empire. Call to sign up.

– Jan. 18 Entertainer Bruce Pratt returns to Groton by popular demand. Don t miss his magical piano performance.
The Women s Club will host lunch. On the menu is macaroni and cheese (one with ham, one without), Harvard beets, pear with mint jelly and mini cherry cheesecakes. Call to sign up.

– Jan. 25 “Ask the Nurse” with Anne Clark from Nashoba Nursing. Clark will answer any questions you have about your health and medications. She will also address what to do following a diagnosis. In addition, there will be a blood pressure clinic at 1 p.m.

Also, Toni will be here from the Post Office for stamps, etc.

Unless otherwise indicated, the above programs will begin at 1 p.m. following our lunch at noon.
