GROTON — The sight of Santa arriving by fire truck down Main Street is sure to create excitement in Groton on Dec. 17.

Union Congregational Church of Groton will host a pancake breakfast with Santa as the special guest. Breakfast, served between 8 and 11 a.m., with tickets costing $2 for children and $5 for adults.

Check out the crafts and baked items for sale, while the kids enjoy a “make and take” craft table.

Santa will leave Groton’s main fire station at 8:50 a.m. and travel down Main Street to the church where he will sit for pictures with young and old.

Visitors will receive a CD with multiple pictures for $3 for individuals and $5 for a family. Also, from noon to 12:30 p.m. Santa will take pictures with pets for $3. All proceeds benefit the church and its programs.

Union Congregational Church is located at 219 Main St. on the corner of Willowdale Road.
