SHIRLEY — In a story about the Orchard Estates housing development, it was stated that contaminated soil would be stockpiled on “Parcel K” and then removed from the site. Clarifying that statement, conservation administrator Anne Gagnon has advised, “The contaminated soil will be staying on site in the containment cells on Parcel K; it will not be removed from the site. Additional ‘hot spot’ areas will be removed from the site, but that contamination will never be temporarily stored at Parcel K.”
