HARVARD — A juvenile driver and four passengers, ages 17 to 20 years old, were summonsed on drug charges after police stopped the van they were in as it pulled out of a construction site on Littleton County Road last Sunday night.
The individuals were from Littleton, according to Officer William Castro, who provided details about the incident this week.
The officer who stopped the vehicle detected a “strong odor of marijuana” and, after the driver consented to a search, found an amount of marijuana and “paraphernalia” inside, Castro said.
Although no arrest was made at the scene, the operator was issued a summons, Castro said. The occupants were taken to the police station and their parents were contacted; all five were charged with possession of marijuana, he said.
