Ayer Church of God Sunday worship services are at 10:30 a.m. with Sunday school (all ages) at 9:30. The Church of the Holy Spirit, a conservative Episcopal Church using the 1928 book of common prayer, is located at the intersection of Cross Street, Tucker Street, and Route 111 in Pepperell. First Baptist Church of Groton, 365 Main St. (Rt. 119), holds Sunday school for all ages at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday worship service at 10:45 a.m. The Sunday evening service begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday Night Bible Club for kindergartners through sixth grade, and junior/senior high youth group starts at 7 p.m. An adult Bible study also begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. First Church of Christ, Scientist, 16 Pleasant St., Ayer, holds church services as well as Sunday school for children up to the age of 20 at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings. A weekly testimony meeting with readings from the Bible and “Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures” is held Wednesday nights at 7:30.
