TOWNSEND — The Townsend United Methodist Church is planning an “Oktoberfest Supper” for Saturday, Oct. 15.

The menu will feature Pennsylvania-Dutch recipes, consisting of sauerbraten, schnitz un knepp (dried apples, dumplings and ham), chicken-corn soup, potatoes with parsley, carrots, red cabbage, shoo fly pie, apple pandowdy and pumpkin pie.

The dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. It will be “eat-in or take-out.”

Ticket are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $5 for children and free for children under 5.

Please come celebrate the beautiful fall season at the historic “Meetinghouse Church on the Hill!”

The church is at 265 Main Street in Townsend Center (junction of routes 13 and 119).
