Art Workshop "The Pastel Art of Georgia O'Keefe" 6:30- 8:30PM

A hands-on workshop for adults and teens (ages 16+) with all materials included. Focusing on the calla lily, participants work in tandem with the artist. Also, topics such as her landscapes, shells and more will be covered. From sheer beginners with no experience to advanced students, all will experiment with hundreds of my pastels learning pastel handling techniques O'Keeffe used in her pastel art. Scumbling, feathering, blending, slurring, edges, and layering will be mastered in this direct tactile medium of pure and nuanced color. How layering is accomplished without fixatives for achieving O'Keeffe's "clean" look will be a focus as well as building an abstract foundation through Leonardo da Vinci's revolutionary drawing technique.
