TOWNSEND -- The Friends of the Townsend Seniors will hold its annual meeting Tuesday, Sept. 17, promptly at 7 p.m., in the Meeting Hall.

The evening's entertainer will be Larry Hill as "Johnny Appleseed." We'll have fun meeting Johnny and hearing the great stories and history of the Leominster-born legend and icon.

There will be a brief business meeting and elections at 7 p.m. prior to the Johnny Appleseed program. Afterward, an anniversary cake and punch will be served to celebrate the Friends' 13th anniversary.

The Friends are known for an annual meeting that's not at all boring ... "we're always very entertaining!" said President Donna Miller.

This free, don't-miss program is open to adults of all ages from Townsend and the surrounding towns. Funding for the performance has been provided by the Amanda E. Dwight Entertainment Fund.

The Meeting Hall is located at 12 Dudley Road, off Route 13 in the Library and Senior Center complex.
