TOWNSEND -- This project consists of two parts: a collection drive for new household cleaning products (Windex, paper towels, dish soap, etc.) and new personal hygiene products (soap, toothpaste, brushes, shampoo, etc.); and a collection drive for candy, stuffed animals, and other Easter treats to make as many Easter baskets as possible for local children.
The cleaning and personal hygiene products will be donated to local men's and women's shelters and the Department of Children and Families will help to distribute the baskets to local children in the three communities of Ashby, Pepperell and Townsend.
There will be boxes set up outside the main office in the front of North Middlesex Regional High School. One will be for the cleaning products, one for the hygienic products and another will be for the Easter basket items. The drive will run through March 27.
Direct questions to Ray Kane or Elisabeth Ryden at the high school.
