The Townsend United Methodist Church is presenting its annual American Girl Tea Party, on Saturday, Dec. 1 from noon to 2 p.m. This year the featured guest is Josefina, who represents the year 1824 in New Mexico. Josefina is learning to accept changes while holding on to family traditions and what is precious from the past.
Everyone will enjoy dressing up and meeting Josefina. Other invited guests are the children's American Girl dolls. There will be a light lunch, crafts, and a short play with Josefina and her aunt, Tia Dolores.
The cost is $15 per person, with children being accompanied by an adult. Prepaid registrations are being accepted now. Call the church office at 978-597-2486 for more information. The United Methodist Church is located at 265 Main St. (Routes 13 and 119), the "Meetinghouse Church on the Hill" in Townsend Center.
