Kassie Breest pitched four innings and struck out six in the Panthers' first win of the season Monday at Maynard. Tigers pitcher Brittany O'Neil walked in the winning run for Ayer Shirley in the seventh inning. Senior captain Sydney Brinkerhoff paced the Ayer Shirley offense going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Junior catcher Tina Babcock chimed in with a team-high 3 RBI in a 2-for-4 day at the plate. Megan Esielionis picked up the save for Ayer Shirley. The Panthers improve to 1-2 in Mid Wach D play and 1-3 overall.

Groton-Dunstable (3-5, 1-2 Midland B) pitcher Alyssa Ash stole the show in the circle for the host Crusaders, striking out eight in Monday's Midland B league win over Quabbin. Bridget O'Malley (2-for-3, run scored) and Rose O'Malley (2-for-3, RBI) spearheaded the Groton-Dunstable offense.

Nicki Wilkinson scored six goals to lead the Crusaders past Wachusett on the road Tuesday. Livy Penney (five goals) , and Sarah Walsh (three goals, four assists) helped lead Groton-Dunstable to victory. Groton-Dunstable goalie Maria Antonellis made eight saves.

North Middlesex fell to Shrewsbury Tuesday afternoon. Maddie Ozog tallied four goals to lead the Patriots, while teammate Kimmie Zuccaro added two.


Bromfield 19

Sophia Turchetta scored eight goals along with three assists to help Bromfield (9-0) remain unbeaten under first-year head coach Dave Planchet. Jackie Planchet (three goals, four assists) , Lexi Dutkewych added three goals and an assist. Megan Parlee tallied a pair of goals and an assist for the Trojans.

Leominster's Mary Okeyer won the 200 and the high jump. Leominster also won both relays.

Bailey Delaney won the shot put and long jump for NM.

Dylan Woods won the 200 and triple jump, while Chris Skelly won the 2-mile and mile for NM (3-0). Leominster won both relays.
