Bromfield senior captain Ben Veno blasted a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh-inning to lead the host Trojans past Murdock Monday afternoon. The Trojans led for much of the game as it took a 7-2 lead on a 3 RBI Chris Culkins double and a 2 RBI Veno single. Veno finished with a game-high 5 RBIs.

The Crusaders defeated Hudson in straight sets Monday afternoon. In No. 1 singles Sarah McDonald, G-D, defeated Katie Benson, of Hudson, 6-3,6-2. No. 2 Maggie Wertheimer def. Julia Smolowitz -- 6-4,7-5. No. 3 Ariel Roth def. Emma Pollk, 6-3,6-3. In doubles play the G-D tandem of Riley Rainville and Meg Colantuoni def. Maris Laughton and Olivia Mitchell, 6-4,7-4 -- in a four-set tiebreaker.

No. 2 Doubles: Samantha Comeau and Katrina Kanwijawa def. Caroline Twomey and Lorrayne Agostino,6-1,6-0, to end the day untouched.
