SHIRLEY -- A Special Town Election will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 12. at the Shirley Town Offices from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The deadline to register to vote or change your party is Wednesday, Aug. 23.

Absentee Ballots will be available and must be requested in writing. Absentee Ballot Applications are accepted until noon on Sept. 11. Information about the offices and candidates on the ballot will be available on the town website www.shirley-ma.gov and various public buildings.

The Shirley Town Clerk's Office will be open on Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. for voter registration. Registration forms can be completed at any Town or City Clerk's office in Massachusetts. Mail-in forms are also available on the town website www.shirley-ma.gov and the Hazen Memorial Library, and should be mailed to Shirley Town Clerk's Office, 7 Keady Way, Shirley, MA 01464 and must be received by election day.
