Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 4 p.m.: The fall session of the After-school Storytime for kindergarten and first-grade students. Join Miss Kathleen in the children's storytime area. This is a drop-in program, no registration is required.

Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 10:30 a.m.: The fall session of Mother Goose on the Loose, a 30-minute nursery rhyme program for children from birth to age 2. Puppets, songs, finger-plays and musical instruments make for a stimulating time for baby's emergent literacy. No registration is required and no craft is involved.

Thursday, Sept. 26, at 3:30 p.m.: Legos at the Library for ages 6 through 12. Drop in and create with Legos. No registration required.

Mondays, Sept. 16, 23 and 30 at 10:30 a.m.: Fall session of Preschool Storytime for children ages 3 to 5. This program includes a craft, , puppets, songs, activities, rhymes & crafts. Drop-in, no registration required.

Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 10:30 a.m.: Music with Nancy. Join early childhood specialist Nancy Railsback for a morning of music and creative movement. A singer-songwriter, she brings her knowledge of young children to early childhood programs providing experiences for singing, expressive movement, as well as opportunities to listen to and play instruments. This program is for children up to age 3 with a parent. This program is funded by an anonymous donor.

Thursday, Sept. 19, at 4 p.m.: The Book Club for second- and third-grade students resumes with Miss Kathleen in the Children's Room.


Last month's book was "Penguin Pandemonium" by Jeanne Willis. Please call and reserve a copy or order one online. This is a drop-in program; pre-registration is not required.

Monday, Sept. 23, at 4 p.m.: A new program of afternoon crafts for first- through fourth-graders. To celebrate fall, join us to make a colorful scratch fall leaf. Scratch your own design into the paper leaf to create a beautiful fall foliage hanging leaf. Sign-up is a must; space is limited to 20 participants. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Hazen Memorial Library.
