On Tuesday, Nov. 6, Shirley will hold two elections simultaneously: the presidential/state election and a town override election to fund an additional police officer. Polls at the Town Offices at 7 Keady Way will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters will receive separate ballots for each election when they check in to vote.

Absentee ballots will be available shortly and must be requested in writing. Absentee Ballot Applications are accepted until noon on Nov. 5. Information about the contents of the ballots will be available on the town website www.shirley-ma.gov, on bulletin boards at businesses in Shirley Village, and various public buildings.

The deadline to register to vote is Wednesday, Oct. 17. The Shirley Town Clerk's Office will be open that day from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. for voter registration. Registration forms can be completed at any Town or City Clerk's office in Massachusetts. Mail-in forms are available on the town website www.shirley-ma.gov and the Hazen Memorial Library, and should be mailed to Shirley Town Clerk's Office, 7 Keady Way, Shirley, MA 01464. You can also request a form be mailed to you by calling 1-800-462-VOTE (8683) or emailing your request to elections@sec.state.ma.us.
