Rabies clinic: 9 a.m. to noon, Jersey Street Fire Station, sponsored by Pepperell Veterinary Hospital in conduction with the Pepperell Board of Health and Nashoba Associated Boards of Health. Dogs and cats will be accepted (it is HIGHLY recommended that cats arrive in a crate). Rabies vaccines are $15. CASH required. Anyone from a Nashoba Board of Health member town is welcome to attend clinic. PLEASE have Rabies Certificate with you, if applicable. Rabies tags will read "Pepperell Veterinary Hospital." 7th Annual Used Bike Sale & 6th Annual Town-Wide Yard Sale
The Friends of Pepperell will be holding its 7th Annual Used Bike Sale, Saturday, April 27, 2013.
The Friends of Pepperell Recreation is seeking your gently used bikes for our annual fundraiser sale! In our continued efforts to be "green", we are hosting our 7th Used Bike Sale.
All unsold bikes at end of sale are donated to Worcester Earn A Bike. Our pay it forward objective keeps the bikes local and ensures area families can purchase a gently used bike for their kids & grandkids at affordable prices, the Earn-A-Bike program benefits, and keeps these bikes out of the landfills! And, we are able to do great things for Pepperell!
Donate your outgrown, no longer used bikes, scooters and bicycle accessories NOW! Drop them off at 152 Heald Street in Pepperell (call 978-835-0133 for other locations to drop bikes.
The Friends of Pepperell will hold its 6th Annual Town Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, April 27, 2013 (rain or shine) in conjunction with the Used Bike Sale. Sure to be the area's busiest yard sale day of the season!
With registration (fee is $15 and deadline is April 15th to be included on the map), you will receive:
* A brightly colored number corresponding to your registration on our map
* Advertising in multiple area newspapers, banners, signs, yard stakes & more
* Emailed arrow signs for you to hang in the area to bring people to your sale!
* On-line Publicity (craigstlist, americantown.com, Yankee magazine, and more)
Our goal this year is to register at over 50 yard sales throughout town and on town field on that day...Please note if you choose to have your yard sale on Town Field, the hours will begin 7 a.m. or later and end by noon.

YOU WILL NEED TO PICK UP YOUR YARD SALE NUMBER SHORTLY BEFORE THE DAY OF SALE. THE NUMBER IS HOW YOU WILL BE IDENTIFIED THAT DAY.

Townsend Earth Day, April 27
The Town of Townsend's Earth Day celebration will be held on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, April 28, from noon to 4 p.m. Planners are actively recruiting volunteer entertainers to perform on the gazebo. "Bats, bees, birds, bugs and butterflies" will be the theme this year! We are sure to attract a large, enthusiastic crowd!
If you want to join the group, just send me your Facebook info! Vendor booth space (12 feet by 12 feet) is $25 for profit, and free for nonprofit groups. $25 checks can be made out to the Town of Townsend (Board of Health in memo line) and mailed to Karen Clement, 101 Main St., Townsend, MA, 01469. Spring Fair at Squannacook in Townsend, April 27
Supporters of the Ashby Elementary School will hold a Spring Fair for children and adults at Squannacook Elementary School (right behind the Townsend police station on Route 13) on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Get great deals from 70 local crafters, vendors, and comfy tables. Bring the family in for lunch, kid games, bake sale, and prizes.

Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Pepperell Board of Health, announces that a Well Adult Clinic will be held on Wednesdays, April 3 and 17, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Senior Center on Senior Center Road (off 37 Nashua Road Route 111). Drop in for blood pressure, pulse screening and diet teaching. No appointment is necessary.
