Occupation: Retired; library volunteer
What do you love about your library? The history room! I also love the staff, all the services the library offers, and the art gallery.
What do you geek? I geek wine! I also geek history, RV-ing, genealogy, reading, antique houses, walking, my family, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cooking, gardening, the beach, the ocean and life!!!
The Lawrence Library geeks wine, too! In fact, the Friends of the Lawrence Library hosts an OctoberFest fundraiser every fall, where you can sample a multitude of different wines, beers, and ciders right here in the library! Every year, the event has special Pepperell-themed wine glasses that you can collect, which are available for purchase at the library all year. We also have many books about wine tasting, how to pair wine with food, and even how to make and bottle your own wines.
We know that Jeanne geeks history, because she has been volunteering in our history room, which she has helped to organize and renovate. If you geek history, too, you should stop by and see all the changes that have been made, and all the local artifacts now on display.
The library can help everyone explore the things they geek. For information, or if you are interested in being the Geek of the Week, stop by the Lawrence Library.
