The Pepperell Siding Model Railroad Club's 27th annual train show opens its doors at the Varnum Brook Elementary School, 10 Hollis St., Sunday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m.

The club will be holding an open house at the club's headquarters in the Lomar Park industrial complex, 41 Lomar Park Drive, Unit 4, during the show hours.

This year's show features a variety of model train layouts from the Amherst Belt Lines of the Amherst Railway Society, Inc.; the Bedford Boomers model railroad group; the Hub Division of the National Model Railroad Association modular layout; Northeast NTRAK modular railroad club and the New Hampshire Garden Railway Society.

Among the vendors on hand are Double Play Hobbies, Brian's Trains, Loose Caboose, Boston & Maine Railroad Historical Society, Hrre-N-trains, PRC trains, Casey's Caboose, and the North Short Model Railroad Club. Admission is $5 for adults; $4 for senior citizens and handicapped; $2 for children 6-12. For children under 6 admission is free and family maximum is $12.
