TOWNSEND -- A worker for M. Flagg Tree Services in Lunenburg was seriously injured Monday at a job on 72 Ash St.
The man was working in a tree when his support cable snapped and he fell to the ground, according to another worker at the site.
According to Townsend Fire Chief Mark Boynton, the man was suspended about 50 feet from the ground at the time of the incident.
Members of the Townsend Fire and EMS teams arrived and confirmed the worker suffered leg trauma as a result of the fall.
The tree worker was transported to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester.
