A dust storm blew into the Phoenix area Tuesday, hampering commutes in the afternoon and prompting a dust storm warning.

Daniel Hurlbert, who was on vacation in the area, took his drone — a DJI Phantom — up into the sky to catch a better glimpse of the storm. High winds forced him to cut the ride short, but he later filmed the same area after the storm passed through.

Meteorologists told the Arizona Republic that the storm formed because of moisture picked up from the Pacific Ocean.
