New England Amputee Association is celebrating 10 years of service to the amputee community.

During these past 10 years, we have grown from a membership of six people to more than 150 people. We have volunteers trained to provide information and support to new amputees and their families.

All of our services are free. We could not provide these services without the volunteers and the support from our donors. We want to thank everyone that has assisted us during these past 10 years.

To celebrate our 10-year milestone, we are planning special meetings and events during 2014.

Kicking-off our first meeting of the year, we are holding a Pizza and Prosthetics show-and-tell, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 6 p.m., at Clinton Hospital, 201 Highland St., Clinton. We provide the pizza and you bring your old and new prosthetics to our group meeting. This will be a time to learn what type of prosthetics people are using and have used in the past. Those folks that cannot use a prosthetic could also find this sharing of resources very informative.

During 2014, all our meetings will contain a free door prize drawing.

Our meetings are free and open to all amputees, their families and health-care professionals.

To ensure we have plenty of pizza, we would like you to let us know you are attending this event by contacting us at phone 978-365-2580 or email us at info@ newenglandamputeeassociation.
