It's Grotonfest time again and I am so pleased to say we are full to the brim with booths. We have a waiting list if you would like to send a request.

Lots of great food, artisan demonstrations sponsored by Three Rivers Arts, continuous entertainment featuring Peter Ward and Amarillo, a combination of Western swing and country, Animal Adventures and some new groups.

Of course, our businesses and nonprofits will be there to let everyone know what they do, and local celebrities will be on stage to say a few words.

The date is Saturday, Sept. 21 (rain date Sept. 22) the beginning of the fall season in New England. Check out our website, or Facebook page, entertainment schedules, sponsor list, and booth names will be up this week.

I want to thank Groton Wellness, North Middlesex Savings Bank, Lowell General Hospital, Groton Trust Funds, Middlesex Savings Bank and Iss for coming in early as major sponsors; Groton Herald, MediaNews Group, Boston Globe, Groton Line and Action Unlimited, our media sponsors; and Dale Martin, booth coordinator, and Pat Kiley, logistics coordinator; Police Chief Don Palma and Lt. Jim Cullen; Highway Surveyor Tom Delaney; and Kevin Kelly, of Groton Electric, for doing such a wonderful job so far this year.

Hope to see you at the best family festival in New England, on Sept. 21.
