I am supporting Jane Morriss in the Ayer selectman race. Jane has the experience, drive, personality and dedication needed for this position. Her work at the Massachusetts Statehouse as Rep. Hargraves' aide, where she provided constituent services for the people of Ayer, has given her a unique understanding of the workings of government as well as strong connections with our representatives in Boston.

For many years, Jane was a journalist reporting on local news. In that capacity, she attended numerous municipal meetings and gained insight into the workings of town government.

Jane will be a voice of reason on our board. She knows how to work with people and will be a moderate voice for sensible policies.

Jane has had a longtime interest in government. In 2010 she was a candidate for state representative. Currently, she has had multiple meetings with town officials and boards and has a strong grasp of Ayer finances as demonstrated by her correct answer at the recent candidates' forum of the true Ayer budget of $21 million. Now, being semiretired, she wants to "give back" by helping the town with the multiple tasks required of selectmen. She is energetic and passionate about undertaking this work and deserves your vote.
